Jing-Tang Concentrated Shen Calmer
This formula is excellent for many forms of stress induced anxiety. In TCVM, liver qi (energy) stagnation occurs in stressful situations. When a pet has had long term stagnation this can transform to fire. This fire rises upward and consumes the heart’s yin (cooling ability) and disturbs Shen. Shen refers to the spirit and mental activities. A pet with this condition may show behavioral problems, restlessness, nervousness, or they may have a difficult time focusing during training or leash walks. This formula is also great for most types of separation anxiety.
We have many clients that use this for travel, grooming visits, thunderstorms, fireworks, etc. It most often will calm the mind of the geriatric patient that paces late at night or has trouble settling down.
We recommend giving the supplement regularly for chronic conditions. For acute situations, it is best to give 1 hour prior to activity.
